I hope everyone has had a fabulous holiday and is staying warm! We’re here to provide you some helpful hydration tips to keep your hair shiny and healthy this winter!
First and foremost- moisture is going to be your best friend. Outside it’s dry, cold, and windy. Our top suggestion would be keeping up with a weekly to biweekly hair mask to keep you healthy and happy! Anywhere from R+Co Television Masque, to On a Cloud Masque for an extra boost of moisture and repair would be a great choice. On top of moisture, we also suggest getting stocked on some good styling products to ensure you’re maintaining that moisture, preventing heat damage, and keeping it shiny. Oils are always a safe choice to keep it shiny and make sure you’re sealing in the moisture you’ve already added. Our K18 oil, great for damaged dry hair, is our top choice, with Two-Way Mirror following. Both are a lightweight oil that will not weigh down your hair. If you’re in need of a heavier oil, our Hairstory Oil is a great choice.
If a masque just isn't quite hitting the mark, you can always apply Suncatcher, our R+Co leave in masque on top of your clean wet hair to give you an extra boost. No rinsing needed. Not only does it smell great, but it feels INCREDIBLE!
Our final tip to use whether you’re in cold or hot weather, is to ALWAYS use a heat protectant when blow drying or using hot tools. We provide an array of both wet and dry heat protectants to keep your hair in top condition year round. On Top of our helpful tips for you, I've been so excited to tell you about our most recent Gender Free Hair Cutting Club. Our biggest one yet! We partnered with Dress Code Project, Veil Beauty Collective, Chrome Rose Salon, The Hideout Salon and Lounge, and some incredible independent artists that helped us make this possible! Not only did we partner with these amazing stylists, but we had Grounded Well Being come out again as well along with some other awesome vendors that really made this event come to life. We had such a blast and it’s always a joy providing a safe space to LGBTQIA2S+ folks to come and get a change they’ve always been wanting. All for free!
